Sanc2.Ary was established in April 2023.
Its origins trace back to the founding of its predecessor, Jord Records.
The name was inspired by the Buddhist concept of the Pure Land.
As heard in Shota Hashimoto’s debut release "Shgendō EP" and the now out-of-print single "Nirvana," the label was initially deeply influenced by Buddhist worldviews.
Its direction was introspective, aiming for enlightenment as the ultimate goal, and intentionally distancing itself from the conventional world.
However, over time, through changing environments and various encounters, my perspective began to shift. I started to think about rebuilding connections with people through music. This shift gave birth to Sanc2.Ary.
The name Sanc2.Ary is derived from the word "Sanctuary."
Through this label, I hope to draw out the sanctuaries within each of you amidst the chaos of the world, offering inspiration, wonder, and joy.
It is an invitation to turn inward, and to encounter and commune with higher forms of existence.
Everyone was born to be happy.
With the hope of sharing even a fragment of that essence, I continue to run Sanc2.Ary.
